Matthew Liu - BDCS President
Hey fellow BDC students, my name is Matthew and I’m excited to be the President of BDCS this year. We have lots of ideas up our sleeves and I can’t wait to show what we have planned. My priorities for this year are to strengthen the community within our program, increase collaborative efforts with other program societies, and improving the efficiency of BDCS. You can expect to see more social events, networking opportunities, and friendly competitions.
Outside of school, you can find me checking out my next Yelp bookmark, spending time with family and friends, exploring the city or nature, and improving myself in the gym. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or suggestions for the society.

Hareet Sidhu - Vice President, Academics
Hiii everyone! My name is Hareet and I'm in my fourth year of BDC. I am very excited to be the VP Academic for the 2023-2024 school year! As VP Academic, I am here to help you transition into the BDC program and achieve your academic goals with confidence! I hope to ease you transition through course review sessions, writing workshops and events like Meet the Profs. I can't wait to help plan all the fun events this year! In my free time, I enjoy listening to music (mainly R&B), spending time with friends, and watching Netflix (currently Young Sheldon). Also, I'm a big foodie so hit me up for some food recs!! Yatharth Dave - Vice President, Admin
Hi guys! My name is Yatharth and I will be the VP Admin for the year 2023-24. As the VP Admin I will be looking into the logistics of event organization and will be supporting the BDCS team to the best of my abilities. My favorite part of BDC is our tight knit community. Since we are a small program, everyone knows each other and its like one big family - I love it! Outside of school, I like to hang out with friends and play sports or video games. I also happen to a have a decent collection of HotWheels since I am a car fanatic. In case of any doubts please feel free to reach out to me via my email.

Michelle Li - Vice President, Finance
HHi everyone! My name is Michelle and I'm in my fourth year of BDC. I'm excited to be this year's VP Finance for the 2023-2024 school year! I will be responsible for managing BDCS' budget, organizing fundraising events, and improving our financial literacy through financial events as well as the stock market game. Outside of school, I enjoy baking, testing new recipes, and listening to music. Feel free to reach out, I'm looking forward to this year!

Sakina Hussain - Vice President, Marketing & Communications
Hi everyone! My name is Sakina and I am so excited to be the VP Marketing and Communications this year! The BDC community is one of my favourite things about the program, and my goal for this year is to help bring it together by ensuring that everyone stays connected online and offline. I help maintain our multiple platforms, advertise our events and programs for the year, and work on merchandise for the society. Outside of school, I love working out, listening to some good music, and hanging out with my friends! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!

Samantha Dacalos - Vice President, Mentorship
Hi everyone! My name is Samantha and I am so excited to be a part of BDCS this year as VP Mentorship. With BDC already being a tight-knit yet diverse community of students coming from various programs, I only aspire to bridge the gap between the 3rd and 4th year cohorts through the creation of mentorship initiatives that are meant to build lasting and meaningful connections. Reinforcing the value of mentorship is something I'm passionate about, and I look forward to doing this within the BDC community. Outside of school, I love binging shows, finding new music to listen to, and eating good food! You'll also probably find me either working out or at the climbing gym at Mac. My name is Areeba Ashraf, I’m the external associate and I really appreciate the support that comes from bdc and bdcs. I love the realm of science we get to delve into and incorporate with the aspect of commercialization! An interesting fact about me is that I figure skated for 12 years before starting university!

Kosta Blinkov- Admin Associate
Hey! My name is Kosta Blinkov. I am excited to be filling the position of Admin Associate this academic year. I really appreciate the BDC program for its focus on the applications of scientific discoveries, as well as the tight-knit community within the program and BDCS. Interesting fact: I played a couple seasons of professional hockey and almost played in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics!

Dina Mirkhoshkho- Finance Associate
Hi everyone! My name is Dina and I’m thrilled to be your 2023 VP Finance Associate! I’m really looking forward to getting deeper into our community and helping to deliver some fun fundraising events, managing our budget and raising our cohort's financial literacy through the stock market game! A fun fact about me is that I wrote and directed an original play that gained notoriety and reputation province wide! Excited to meet more members of our community soon!

William Winarta - Mentorship Associate
Hi everyone! My name is William Winarta, I am the associate of Mentorship for the 2023-2024 school year. One thing I really appreciate about BDC is the intersectionality of science and business, it's nice seeing how the two are woven together. For BDCS I enjoy the mentorship aspect as it gives me access to someone with knowledge and experience to help guide me.
